When you have heart failure, you should watch what you eat all the times. Instead of salty and processed food, switch to natural food like vegetables, fruits, and food cooked with fresh meats. - Lifestyle Changes.
If you smoke and drink, you will definitely have to stop. The trick here is to focus on quitting. If you have tried but not succeeded, try to remove all cigarettes and alcoholic beverages from your home, as they will tempt you easily. For instance, if you consume 10 sticks a day, you can try cutting it down to 9 sticks a day for one week, then 8 sticks a day the next week until you completely let go of the habit.

Your doctor will prescribe medication that you need to take religiously. If you are too busy to remember when to take them, set phone alarms to remind you to take them on time. You can also keep your medicine in medicine/ pill organizer boxes so you take enough each day.
- Relaxation and Meditation.
It is very important to calm down. When you can, take time to deep breaths to fill your lungs with oxygen and calm your mind. Doing this actually helps to reduce your blood rate, especially if you are feeling stressed or anxious about anything. You can even close your eyes to just remember that you are here in the now.
- Enjoyment of Life.
If there have been activities you have always wanted to do like going on a trip somewhere peaceful or just driving to a different state with friends, do it! Life is only short if we live as if we have forever to do the things we enjoy–so we should enjoy it the best way we can every day!
